Discover Roberts Family Farms in Sandwich, IL
Established in 2014, we started with a small flock of chickens on a 5 acre parcel. Three years later, in 2017, we added our 41 acre location with cows, sheep, and Ella, our donkey. Since then, we've expanded our offerings for you to enjoy. Come out and see what we have to offer as you take in the scenery!

Grass Fed Meats and Fresh Produce
At Roberts Family Farms in Sandwich, we offer grass fed beef, pork, and lamb for you to purchase. We also offer seasonal delicious produce to our customers and farm fresh eggs. We believe that everyone should have access to healthy, nutritious food, and we are committed to making that a reality.

That's right... get our 94/6 grade A prime ground beef for $6.99/lb AND, once you've purchased 10 pounds, we'll give you one free! Ten pound purchase does not need to be made in a single transaction (we have out punch cards). Stop by and try some today!
Craft beer, cider, and spirits
We offer a 12 tap system featuring craft beers, cider, and spirits for your enjoyment. Special weekends feature live music and food on Friday evening and Saturday. There is a large indoor space as well as a large patio, covered converted grain bin, and ample grass for you to sit and take in the sites on the farm!

Bulk Meat Sales
We do sell quarter and half sides of meat, but our wait list is generally 6-12 months. Call or email to get on the list. Important details:
- Current price for beef is $4/lb hanging weight (call for other livestock)
- We take the animal to the processor; customer must work with butcher to decide cuts of meat (the contact information will be given)
- Processing generally runs about $1/lb, depending on what you order
- our cows typically weigh in between 600 and 800 pounds (so, 1/4 = 150-200 pounds of meat)
Etch and Sip Glass Etching Class
After a successful inaugural year, Sip and Etch will return in 2026! Look for details about our Valentine's Day event on February 12 after the start of the New Year.
No experience needed — just good vibes, a steady-ish hand, and maybe a friend or two! Prices start at $20 per person

Crochet Club - NEW for 2026
Want to learn a new skill but not sure where to start? Have some experience with crochet but could use a friend (or 2) to help you advance your skill set? Then Crochet Club is for you! Starting in February of 2026 - we will meet one weeknight from 6:30 - 7:45 (date to be determined). There is no fee for dropping in - kits can be ordered for starters (at a fee).

Only our trained herding dog...
Our donkey, Ella, is there to keep the herd safe from predators - like coyotes- which look a lot like dogs (especially to Ella). To make sure we don't disturb Ella - which would really disturb her herd - we cannot allow any type of untrained canine friend on our property. Thank you for your cooperation.

Our twelve-tap system allows us to regularly change our offerings. We will bring you a wide variety of craft beers, ciders, and more as the seasons change. If you're looking to try something new, look no further! We work hard to find you the best small batch brews out there!
Broadly speaking, beer is divided into two types - Ales and Lagers. Ales tend to be fruity/aromatic while lagers tend to be clean/crisp. From there, many sub-classifications exist.
IPAs (India Pale Ale)
Offerings change weekly...
IPAs are hoppy beers known from their prominent flavor and aroma. Offerings include our signature IPA, Chirpa's Highland Haze (MORE Brewing), Mic Check (Mikerophone Brewing), Tour Bus (DeStihl Brewing), Widow Maker (Millstream Brewing), Goofy Boots (Pensrose), Two Hearted (Bells) and many more.
Lagers
This grouping can include Pilsner's (like our Oom Pah Pah and Nordic Pilsner's from Millstream), American Lagers, or Pale/Dark/Red Lagers as well. Offerings include Beach Blonde (Crystal Lake Brewing), Red Lager/India Pale Lager/American Lager (all from Riggs Brewing), Lite Thinking (Pollyanna Brewing), Wrexham Lager (DeStihl), among others.
Golden and Red Ales
Golden and red ales are light bodied, relatively easy drinking beers, often favored in the summer months. Ale options on tap can include Kona Big Wave (Kona Brewing), City Red or Poolside Breeze (Perennial Artisan), and many more.
Other beer options
We also offer seasonal beers ranging from wheat ales (like Farm's Tan Blood Orange wheat Ale or John's Belgium Whit; Millstream), to Kolsch's (1923 or Twig and Berries/Millstream; Illinois Kolsch/Riggs; Too Much Cologne/Crystal Lake), Hefeweizen (Citraweizen or Hefeweizen/Riggs; Grapefruit/Schofferhofer), to our darker Porters and Stouts
Bourbon and other spirits
For the non-beer drinker, we offer a wide variety of options. We have Whiskey Acres (Sycamore, IL) bourbon on tap and offer Cody Road Old Fashioneds by the glass. We also offer featured drinks such as a Bloody Mary or Cosmopolitans.

Yes... you can rent our space for your event
We are often asked if our space is available for private use - and, while availability is very limited, we love to share our venue when possible. Please know that we do not schedule private events on Sundays when our barn store is open (late March till December).
Right now, we have no weekend availability through the end of the year (2025). We are scheduling for 2026, so please contact us via email, Facebook message us, or call and we can talk about our rates and how we might serve your needs.
